Music is my Therapy by Natasha Brown

Prior to my father’s transition I had been using music and healing tones to maintain a balance and to ease me through the stress as well as depression I was facing. Now that my father is in the ancestral realm I rely more on it to soothe my pain’s. This is my bereavement counseling. Each melody reminds me of when I was younger and how he would play music on Sunday’s. It was a tradition he started. I learned so many reggae songs because of him and he would even bring me more popular albums from the greats such as, Stevie Wonder, New Edition, and the incomparable Michael Jackson. I was a big fan of Bob Marley though and I really had no idea why. It was as though I would get hypnotized as a child by his music for some reason. I later learned that the frequency of his music was played at, 432hz which was deemed the frequency of the angels and it made you feel good. Now that I am going through this period of loss I have maintained my love and attachment to music for its healing qualities and I have incorporated the healing tones to bring me back to a state of equilibrium. It isn’t a replacement for actual treatment but it can be incorporated along with meditation to support you.

This time has allowed me to explore the light and the dark. The repressed pains and tears that I have held back are coming forward. This is my time of release. Steadily working on having my chakra’s in alignment has been very rewarding especially since I am a Reiki therapist. Each day I feel better. I try to play the meditative frequency music in the morning’s or right before bed to give me a sense of calm. There is no cure for losing the physical presence of a loved one but having healing modalities that allow us to adjust, feel, heal, remember, express love, and align with healing melodic frequencies has been apart of my regiment and may always be apart of my life.
